Failure to abide by the terms of a plea agreement apparently means a LaFargeville man will spend several years in prison.
Deputies arrested Bryant P. Sanford, 23, of 37895 County Route 13 Thursday evening on a warrant charging Bail Jumping 2nd Degree.
In July Sanford pled guilty to two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree in connection with break-ins at two Clayton restaurants in May 2007. He was sentenced to 3 ½ years in prison for each count.
As a condition of a plea agreement that would have allowed Sanford to avoid the prison time, he agreed to participate in drug court and a drug addiction treatment program.
According to information included with the Sheriff’s Department arrest report, Sanford, who had been released on his own recognizance, never reported to drug court and never participated in the addiction program.
Sanford was arraigned in Town of Watertown Court on the bail jumping charge and remanded to Jefferson County Jail on $2500 bail.
