Valentine’s Day love was in the air as a 10th Mountain Division couple tied the knot

2.14.2012 <br> For the Bryant’s Valentine’s Day will not only be a day to celebrate the Valentine’s Day holiday, but a day to remember forever as they joined together in life by getting married.

Love was in the air Tuesday morning as North Country couples tied the knot on Valentine’s Day.

For the Bryant’s Valentine’s Day will not only be a day to celebrate the Valentine’s Day holiday, but a day to remember forever as they joined together in life by getting married.

The Watertown City Clerk’s office performs marriages throughout the entire year, but according to City Clerk Ann Sunders holiday’s, like Valentine’s Day, always bring in a high number of couples.

The Bryant’s have been together for about 5 years, two of those spent living on Fort Drum. 1st Sergeant James Bryant says that they choose to get married on Valentine’s Day because it was something he and new wife Teeonka had planned.

The newly married Mrs. Bryant will also be starting a new career enlisted with the 10th Mountain Division on Fort Drum.”

“She’s about ready to go into the service also, so that’s another big reason why today is so special,” said 1st Sergeant Bryant.

The City Clerks office will perform 8 other marriages throughout Valentine’s Day.

To date the Clerks office has performed 83 marriage ceremonies, and issued 114 marriage licenses for Watertown couples. In 2011, 580 marriages were performed and 1,058 licenses were issued.
