(SU ATHLETICS) - Senior quarterback Ryan Nassib was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after a record-breaking performance against Northwestern on Saturday. The senior broke multiple school and BIG EAST records after completing 45 of 66 passes for 482 yards in SU's season opener against the Wildcats. Nassib also threw four touchdown passes in the game.

Nassib led the Orange in scoring 28 unanswered points against Northwestern after being down 35-13 at the beginning of the third quarter. He recorded 512 yards out of SU's 596 yards of total offense.
