Myth-busting Workshop to Outline How to Handle Trips Through Customs

11.03.2011 <br> The seminar will be presented by Robert Stein, Vice President of Customs & Trade Compliance for Mohawk Global Logistics.

A free seminar is going to be offered by the Jefferson County Job Development Corporation on how to handle trips through customs.

The seminar, “What to Do When Customs Picks on You,” will be held on Friday, November 18th at the Watertown Comfort Inn, located at 110 Commerce Park Drive.

The seminar will be presented by Robert Stein, Vice President of Customs & Trade Compliance for Mohawk Global Logistics.  Mr. Stein is also a licensed Customs broker and certified Customs specialist.

“The purpose of the seminar”, said Mr. Stein, “is to carefully explain in detail the aims of customs in a rational and thoughtful way.  By the time they leave the seminar, attendees will be more prepared to handle a Customs visit without feeling that customs is picking on them if they are targeted for a visit.”

Common myths about Customs audits will also be outlined at the seminar.

Anyone interested in attending should register by November 11th by sending an email to krickli@mohawkglobal.com, or via telephone by calling (315) 552-5478.
