A benefit will be held over the weekend for the Montgomery family, whose 2-month-old baby girl is critically ill.
The benefit will be held at the Black River Valley Club, located on 131 Washington Street in Watertown, on November 20th, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Rylee Addison Montgomery was born on September 20th with Cystic Fibrosis that caused a blockage in her bowels. After undergoing multiple surgeries, the blockage was so large that most of her small intestine had to be removed.
At this time Rylee is, and will remain, in Crouse Irving NICU for the next several months until doctors are able to help Rylee by reconnecting her intestine so that she is able to absorb nutrients on her own. She now has an ileostomy to assist with life functions.
Rylee’s father is an active duty 10th Mountain Division Soldier Stationed at Fort Drum.
The Montgomery family is staying at the Ronald McDonald House to be as close to Rylee as possible.
Tickets for the benefit cost $10 for adults and $5 for children. Cost for adult admission includes one raffle ticket for a door prize. Items will be raffled off that include weekend stays in the Poconos, Catskills, Lake Placid and Lake George.
All proceeds from the benefit will go towards helping the Montgomery family during their time of need.
If you are not able to make it to the benefit on November 20th, donations can be sent to the Black River Valley Club, 131 Washington Street, Watertown NY 13601.For complete details and to hear Rylee's story watch the complete video interview with event organizers and friends of the Montgomery's.
