Grape Turkey Chili2 tablespoons canola oil
1 large onion, finelychopped
2 garlic cloves, finelychopped
1-1⁄2 pounds ground turkeybreast
1 can (14 oz.) tomato sauce
1-1⁄2 cups Welch’s 100% GrapeJuice made from Concordgrapes
1 can (15 oz.) cannellinibeans, drained and rinsed
1 teaspoon mild chilipowder (or to taste)
1⁄2 teaspoon oregano
1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin
1⁄4 teaspoon ground salt
1⁄4 teaspoon ground blackpepper
chopped red onion,chopped cilantro, low fatsour cream for garnish
In a large pot, cook theonion in the oil over mediumheat until softened, about 8minutes. Add the garlic to thepot and cook 1 minute. Addthe turkey and cook, stirringoften to break up the lumps,until lightly browned.
Stir in the tomato sauce,grape juice, beans, chili powder,oregano, cumin, salt and pepper.Bring to a simmer. Cook 20minutes or until thickened.Serve hot topped with redonion, cilantro and sour cream.
