(WTNY) - A Watertown man who donated much of his millions of dollars from his 2005 lottery win to the community has died.

Seventy five year old Garry McGivney passed away Sunday.

In 2005, McGivney won $56 million from a NYS lottery ticket he purchased at the Gold Star Deli in Watertown. Most of that money was donated to a number of not for profits and charities in the area as well as Holy Family Church, where he attended service.

A funeral mass will be held at 1 pm Friday at Holy Family.
