Father guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the drowning death of his 10 month old son

Watertown (WTNY) -- A Watertown man has pleaded guilty to negligence in connection to the accidental drowning death of his son last summer.

Thirty one year old Michael Davis entered a guilty plea to a charge of criminally negligent homicide this week in Jefferson County Court. Davis admitted to leaving his 10 month old son unattended in a bath tub for close to 20 minutes while he was on the computer back in August of last year. The boy later died as a result of drowning.

Sentencing in the case is set for September 17.
