Adams (WTNY) -- A Texas man is facing charges in connection to a high speed chase last night on Interstate 81 that spanned several counties.

The chase ended in the Town of Adams with Christopher Moore of Dallas, taken into custody. Police say Moore was driving a pickup truck that was reported stolen in Texas back on May 31. State Police attempted to pull him over for speeding in Homer in Cortland County when he failed to comply and led police on a pursuit north. Just south of Exit 42 near Adams Center, spike strips were deployed. The truck's two front tires were punctured, bringing the vehicle to a stop.

Moore is facing a host of charges including third degree criminal possession of stolen property, third degree unlawful fleeing a police officer, and possession of marijuana.

He was ordered held in the Jefferson County Jail without bail.
