Ellisburg (WTNY) -- Eight months after the crash occurred, charges have been filed in connection to a fatal crash that left a Jefferson County teen dead.
Nineteen year old Gaige Knapp of Watertown was arraigned Wednesday on charges of criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving, and speeding. The charges came following a Jefferson County Sheriff's Department investigation into the September 1st, 2012 crash on State Route 298 in the Town of Ellisburg.
Knapp was behind the wheel of a vehicle that overturned, killing passenger 17 year old Trevor Robinson of Adams. Knapp was critically injured in the crash.
He was released on his own recognizance pending grand jury action.
