UPDATE: Carthage Man arrested on several charges after incident at Bank in Black River

Police arrested 31 year old Michael Lowe on several charges after he was discovered this morning hiding in the Community Bank building in Black River.
Black River (WWTI) --  At about 8am Tuesday morning the Black River Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to Community Bank located on Route 3 in the Village of Black River for a reported burglary.

While searching the bank, a deputy and a Village Police Officer found 31 year old Michael Lowe, Carthage, hiding in the building.

Lowe was charged with:
  • 3rd Degree Burglary
  • 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief
  • 4th Degree Grand Larceny
  • 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass
  • 4th Degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property
  • attempted Petit larceny
Lowe was arraigned in the Town of Champion Court and held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
