While NBC and CBS are in the midst of major late-night overhauls, ABC has extended Jimmy Kimmel's Live contract for two more years, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The deal secures Kimmel's hosting position through January 2017 and sets up Kimmel to compete against Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert, when he takes over Late Show from David Letterman next year.

Jimmy Kimmel Live is currently in its 11th season, and while Fallon is getting more viewers in the 18-to-49 demographic, Kimmel has still managed to grow his audience for the fourth consecutive year.
