2 arrests made following drug raid on Waite Ave. in Watertown

- Two people were arrested following a drug raid by police in the City of Watertown on Tuesday.

The Metro Jefferson Drug Task Force says the raid occurred at an upstairs apartment at 522 Waite Ave. at around 12:30 pm.

Police discovered 64 bags of heroin, 23 knotted wraps, and 4.4 grams of crack cocaine. The drugs had an estimated street value of over $4,300.

Also found were $1,921 in cash, and packaging material for heroin and crack cocaine. Arrested and charged with two counts each of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance were 34 year old Jermele Halstion of Syracuse and 26 year old Paige Johnson of Waite Ave.

Both were ordered held without bail due to previous felony convictions.
