Boutique Air creating scheduling and staffing issues at Massena International

The airline using Massena International Airport as a hub has flights landing at all hours of the night and has failed to give officials a proper schedule.

That's what the airport's manager reportedly told the CEO of Boutique Air last week in a special meeting with Massena's Town Council. According to the Watertown Daily Times, the manager claims scheduling issues have employees working 16-hour shifts, with overtime included--some workers are being called in at midnight in order to allow for planes to land.

The CEO for the airline said issues with planes and weather have created trouble, and that adding a third backup plane could help smooth out the day-to-day operations. Boutique recently took over for Cape Air as a main air line in Massena.
