Fires destroy two homes in Jefferson County over the weekend

A couple of homes were destroyed by fire over the weekend in Jefferson County.

In Philadelphia, a blaze broke out on Route 26 Friday night.

The two people who lived there were able to get out safely. Although, two members of the Philadelphia Fire Department were injured--one by slipping on ice, the other member suffering chest pain.

Then, Saturday evening, a home on LeRay Street that's in the middle of being remodeled also caught fire. No one was home at the time and the structure has since been torn down.

The cause of both blazes are being investigated.
