Fireworks tent to be put up in Lowville

A fireworks company from Pennsylvania is going to be setting up a tent in Lewis County just in time for Independence Day.

The Lowville village planning board approved Novelty Distributors request for the tent.

It will be set up from this Friday through July 5 off Utica Boulevard outside of the Lowville Producers Dairy Cooperative store.

Only the regulated form of the so-called fireworks will be sold and the Watertown Daily Times reports that the tent itself must be flame-resistant and must have security personell on hand through overnight hours.
