Former top aide to Gov. Cuomo, Cor execs heading to trial

A former top aide to Governor Andrew Cuomo and seven others accused of political corruption in an upstate development project will not face trial altogether.

A federal judge has decided former Cuomo lieutenant Joseph Percoco will face trial in January along with three others, including company executives from COR, which has several properties in the north country.

Percoco is accused of accepting more than $300,000 in payoffs in exchange for political favors.

A second trial will launch later next year involving the former SUNY Polytechnic Institute President.
