Man allegedly threatened to kill police during DWI stop

BROWNVILLE,N.Y. - Police say a Jefferson County man threatened to kill Sheriff's deputies during a traffic stop earlier this week.

Twenty-four-year-old Richard Illingworth has been charged with second-dgree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct and drinking alcohol in a vehicle.

According to deputies, Illingworth became uncooperative after he was pulled oaver on Route 12E in Brownville at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Illingworth allegedly disobeyed orders and shouted that he was going to kill the responding deputies. He was taken to jail on $750 bail.
