North country festival of trees ramps up for holiday season!

New this year: public auction of trees on Sunday, December 3

Watertown, New York ----- The holiday season kicks off with the much-anticipated annual North Country Festival of Trees December 1-3, 2017 at the Dulles State Office Building. A weekend of fun, family-oriented activities is planned, as well as a first-time public auction of the trees.

“Sponsor and decorator sign-ups are underway, and tickets are on sale,” explains Michelle Nickles, Festival of Trees Committee Chair. “’The Stories of Christmas’ is this year’s theme, and everyone – young and old – will remember some of their favorite Christmas stories throughout the years, including: Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and Elf of the Shelf. And our hope is that many new Christmas stories and memories are made throughout this magical weekend.”

The North Country Festival of Trees benefits children’s services and programs at Samaritan Medical Center and children’s scholarships at the Watertown Family YMCA. Last year, the event featured 71 trees and raised over $127,000. There’s something for everyone throughout the three-day festival, including:
