Possible shorter term limits coming for members of Watertown school board

WATERTOWN,N.Y. - As the national debate continues over term limits, the issue is coming to a head here in the north country.

A vote next month will be held to determine if Watertown City School District board members should serve three years instead of the current five. Residents within the district will have a chance to vote on the matter, along with the next school budget, on May 16.

If approved, the shorter term limits would take effect for the 2018 school year.
