Three people have been arrested after a strong odor of marijuana led law enforcement to an apartment in Adams.
The Village of Adams Police Department was alerted to the strong odor of marijuana by neighboring residents, located near 6 Institute Street in the village of Adams. Small children live in the area prompting concerns.
As a result of the complaint a warrant was obtained by area law enforcement. During the search police seized 1.3 kilos of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana. The street value of the cocaine has been determined to be approximately $130,000.
Christopher A. Wilson, 31, of Brooklyn NY, Kristin J. Avallone-Clark, 22, of Carthage, and Emmanuael L. Sheppard, 31 of Marietta Georgia, were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st, a class A-1 Felony.
Wilson, Avallone-Clark and Sheppard have been arraigned in the Town of Watertown Court and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail with no option of bail.
The investigation and arrests were conducted by the Village of Adams Police Department, Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, and the New York State Police road patrol.
