Apple's new iOS 7 software available for download

Users should be prepared for some big changes to their iPhones, iPads and iPods.
(WSYR-TV) - Apple's newest operating system, iOS 7, is now available and users should be prepared for some big changes to their iPhones, iPads and iPods.

The latest upgrade is the most substantial in the iOS software's history.

The general look is flatter and brighter than previous versions and core apps have received makeovers.

Besides the new design, Apple has introduced a Control Center that allows you quick access to your most frequently used apps.

The latest edition offers camera improvements such as real-time filters and improvements to Safari and Siri.

Users can now block unwanted phone calls, messages and FaceTime callers through the update.

Apple has added an iTunes Radio feature, allowing users to make and share playlists based on their personal music preferences.

It may be tempting to download it immediately, but bug fixes are usually made after the first version is released, so experts say it may be worth waiting until any potential issues are resolved.
