Armed standoff in Lafargeville ends with 4 under arrest

Lafargeville (WTNY) -- Several people were arrested after an armed standoff that occurred Tuesday in LaFargeville.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies were involved in the standoff on State Rt. 180 Tuesday night. There is no word as to what happened with that situation, but four people were arrested.

Forty one year old Shawn Lawler of LaFargeville is accused of second degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest after trying to stop deputies from arresting his friend. Also arrested were 19 year old Mason Angus, 70 year old Frederick Angus, and 47 year old Frederick Angus Jr for allegedly interfering with police work.

They were all ticketed and will appear in Town of Orleans Court at a later date.
