Black River Man arrested on Child Pornography charges

police arrested Curtis Sprague of Black River and charged him with one count of Promoting the sexual performance by a child, and 1 count of Possession of obscene sexual performance by a child.
Black River -- State Police have arrested a 35 year old Black River man on charges of Child Pornography.

Earlier this week police executed a search warrant at an upstairs Apartment at 119 W. Remington Street, Black River, based on information received from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the possession of Child Pornography. 

As a result of the search warrant, police arrested Curtis Sprague of Black River and charged him with one count of Promoting the sexual performance by a child, and 1 count of Possession of obscene sexual performance by a child.  The defendant did share photos of a female under the age of 16 via the internet and did possess photos and videos on his laptop of females under the age of 16 engaged in sexual conduct. 

Sprague was arraigned in the Town of Leray Court and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.
