Watertown (WTNY) -- There are those who say with modern technology, the video rental store has become a thing of the past.

That point may be proven with the news that the Blockbuster store on Arsenal St. is closing. The store put up signs Sunday, indicating it is being closed and is in the process of liquidating it's inventory. The company was recently bought out by Dish Network, which has announced the closing of about 300 stores.

Plans are for the the store to shut down completely by early April.
