Former Deferiet Mayor accused of stealing over $600

Nathan Lehman (WTNY) - Robert Foster allegedly stole over $600 from the United Neighbors Federal Credit Union.
(WTNY) -- The former mayor of Deferiet has been arrested and charged with stealing from the business he oversaw.

Thirty year old Robert Foster allegedly stole over $600 from the United Neighbors Federal Credit Union. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department also accuses him of falsifying business records to try to cover up the thefts. Foster was the CEO of the credit union.

Foster was arraigned and released after posting $750 bail.
