Brownville (WTNY) -- Tough economic times at General Brown could lead to about three dozen teacher layoffs. The budget crunch will dominate discussions at this evening's Board of Education meeting. School officials have not said how many teacher positions will be eliminated or where the cuts will be focused. The layoffs are reportedly due to cuts in state aid and a budget gap of nearly $2 million. More details could come during tonight's meeting.
