Watertown (WTNY) -- Two weeks ago, it looked like a strike was going to occur at New York Air Brake.
However, a weekend deal means labor peace for the next few years. The company and it's unionized workers reached a deal during talks over the weekend. The agreement was reached Friday night and union members voted on Saturday. The terms of the contract were not released, but it is for three years. Two weeks ago, unionized workers were ready to go on strike after talks broke down.
A strike was adverted when the previous deal was extended for two weeks to let negotiations continue.
