Man pushes, punches and chokes wife in front of two young children

5.01.2012 <br> Lawrence M. Bradford, 43, of 642 Bronson Street in Watertown, was arrested and charged with Harassment in the 2nd, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

A Watertown man has been arrested on multiple charges following a domestic dispute with his wife in front of their two sons.

Lawrence M. Bradford, 43, of 642 Bronson Street in Watertown, was arrested and charged with Harassment in the 2nd, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

It is alleged that on Monday at approximately 10:49 a.m., Bradford physically attacked his wife, Kristie Bradford, by grabbing her by the throat, slapped and punched her several times. All violent acts took place in front, and in close proximity, to their one and two year old boys.

Bradford also pushed one of his sons against a wall, due to his crying, during the dispute with his wife. This caused alarm to the children, who upon arrival of Watertown Police appeared visibly upset and were crying.

According to police documents, Bradford “would not release Kristine’s neck, voluntarily, and had to be pushed away and fought off.”

Mrs. Bradford suffered redness and marks to her neck, chest and back as a result of the attack.

Bradford is being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Tuesday morning in City Court.
