Watertown (WTNY) -- A New York State Corrections Officer has pleaded guilty to charges that he possessed stolen items.
Just as his trial was set to begin on Monday, 36 year old Aaron Netto of Watertown pleaded guilty to four counts of fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, attempted tampering with physical evidence, and conspiracy. The pleas were part of a deal with prosecutors.
The conspiracy plea was an Alford plea, which means he did not admit to committing the crime.
Sentencing in the case is set for November 22.
