Watertown woman cooks 12 goldfish in frying pan, arrested on multiple charges

4.20.2012 <br> Baughman removed the goldfish from their tank and placed them into a frying pan, where she cooked them on the stove until they were all deceased.

A Watertown woman has been arrested on multiple charges after she intentionally killed 12 gold fish belonging to the victim and damaged personal property.

Jessica L. Baughman, 21, of 518 Stone Street, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th, Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, and Harassment in the 2nd.

It is alleged that on April 20, at approximately 12:37 a.m., Baughman intentionally damaged a wooden structure, valued at $20 belonging to the victim Vera E. Nichols.

Baughman was also arrested on the Aggravated Cruelty to Animals charge when she, with no justifiable purpose, intentionally killed 12 goldfish belonging to Nichols. Baughman removed the goldfish from their tank and placed them into a frying pan, where she cooked them on the stove until they were all deceased.

At this time Baughman is being held at the Metro-Jeff Public Safety Building pending an appearance in the City of Watertown Court.
