Former Black Hawk Helicpoter Pilot Lands at JCC to Share Inspirational Story

Elizabeth McCormick overcame many obstacles to achieve her dream of flying helicopters in the military - earlier this week she shared her story with the North Country.

(Watertown, NY--) Story by Andrew Banas

Imagine for a moment trying to fly a black hawk helicopter. Sounds tough right? Fun, sure. But very tough. Now imagine learning how to fly that helicopter while overcoming all kinds of obstacles and doubters. Elizabeth McCormick did just that.

Elizabeth knew what she wanted to do in life - and she REFUSED to let anything keep her from achieving that. Now, after years of flying black hawk helicopters, Elizabeth travels the country to share her story with others. Her goal now is to inspire others to chase their dreams too - no matter what.

ABC 50 was there when Elizabeth landed in the North Country to give a speech at Jefferson Community College. Check it out!
