Renovations could be coming to Watertown's Municipal Arena

Work could begin in the spring of 2015
Watertown (WTNY) --An informal green light has been given to the renovation project for the Watertown Municipal Ice Arena.

During their work session Monday night, the City Council was given a third set of plans for renovating the Fairgrounds Arena, one that puts the cost somewhere between $6.2 to $7 million. The plans are scaled back from the two previous proposals. It includes replacing the roof of the structure, a new locker room, and a new upper level with an entrance for the public.

Should the project be given an official go after bids are collected, work would likely begin in the spring of 2015.
