CW Seed's Backpackers will make the jump from online to the network this summer, The CW announced Tuesday.

The network has ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the digital comedy, which follows friends Ryan (Titanic's Noah Reid) and Brandon (Nikita's Dillon Casey) as they race across Europe in search of Ryan's missing bride-to-be. The first four episodes will be made up of the previously released digital episodes, while the final six episodes will be written and produced exclusively for the network.

Bubble Shows: Which will survive?

"Since launching last year, one of our missions for CW Seed was for it to serve as an incubator for new talent and new ideas," Rick Haskins, The CW's executive vice president of marketing and digital programs, said in a statement. "We're very excited to see Backpackers turn from a short-form digital series into a full-length broadcast television show, and we are continuing to look at CW Seed for other possibilities to transform content and for creative new ways of doing business."

Backpackers isn't the first digital series to move to network TV. Adult Swim's Childrens Hospital and Showtime's Web Therapy both originally debuted as web series.

Backpackers is slated to premiere sometime this summer.
