Watertown Urban Mission's 2nd Annual ALR Bike Ride is Ready to Roll

The 2nd Annual "American Legion Riders Bike Ride" will kick-off this Saturday, June 7th. Proceeds will benefit the Watertown Urban Mission.

Black River, NY -- The skies are predicted to be sunny and clear this Saturday, June 7th, when the "2nd Annual American Legion Riders Bike Ride" kicks-off at 11 a.m. The 120-mile motorcycle ride benefits the Watertown Urban Mission - with riders come from all across the north country to join. The ride will start at 36788 State Route 26 in Carthage and from there will travel through Harrisville, Gouverneur, Antwerp and Black River.

The cost is $15 per bike and an additional $5 to have a passenger. If you do not ride but would like to join the riders afterwards at the legion, $10 will cover for food and entertainment. A year ago, in it's first year, the ride raised $6,500 says American Legion Riders Director Joe Martel. He believes this year will top that total.
