Former Fort Drum soldier Bradley Manning awaits his fate

Nathan Lehman (WTNY) - The former Ft. Drum soldier was convicted last month on 20 charges in what's described as the biggest leak of secret documents in U.S. military history.
The fate of Army Private First Class Bradley Manning is about to be decided.

The judge in his closely-watched court martial taking place at Fort Meade, Maryland is expected to start deliberating this morning. Federal prosecutors are seeking a 60-year prison sentence for the 25-year-old. The former Ft. Drum soldier was convicted last month on 20 charges in what's described as the biggest leak of secret documents in U.S. military history.

He was acquitted of the most serious charge -- aiding the enemy.
