Fort Drum, NY - Beginning February 1st a visitor's pass will be required for drivers and passengers who enter Fort Drum without a valid Department of Defense ID card.
In order to obtain a pass, drivers will be required to show a valid driver's license, along with proof of insurance and a current vehicle registration. Passengers under the age of 18 must have a government issued photo ID and are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Upon arrival, visitors will be asked the purpose of their visit and how long they are expecting to stay at Fort Drum. If a visitor expects to be there for an extended length of time they will need to apply for a special visitor's pass.
To get visitor passes go to the access control point located at the Iraqi Freedom Drive gate off Route 11, the Gasoline Alley gate off Route 26 or the Wheeler Sack Army Airfield gate. These gates are always open.
