Governor declares 'State of Emergency' for Jefferson and Lewis Conties

Gov. Cuomo has declared a State of Emergency in 14 counties - including Jefferson County, and Lewis County - as a major winter storm moves into the region.
Gov. Cuomo has declared a State of Emergency in 14 counties - including Jefferson County, and Lewis County - as a major winter storm moves into the region.

Cuomo says more than 300 New York Army and Air National Guard members have been mobilized to assist communities if needed.

The Governor’s Office says that another 100 soldiers who can provide transportation support to move supplies will be on call.

Cuomo has urged residents to avoid traveling and to stay inside their homes until the worst of the storm has passed.
