UPDATE: The travel advisory previously issued for Lewis County on Tuesday has been lifted.

LEWIS COUNTY, N.Y. (WWTI) — A travel advisory was issued for Lewis County on Tuesday morning amid the winter weather advisory.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office issued the advisory due to extended snowfall and slippery road conditions.

Drivers are urged to use caution and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.

The travel advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
