PORT LEYDEN, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Village of Port Leyden will be flushing fire hydrants on Tuesday, September 19 starting at 9 a.m.

The water will be discolored during this time. Water users are asked to let their water run until clear before use. The village also urges people to hold off on doing laundry until after completion of the flushing.

There also may be a change in water pressure during this time. The flushing is being done to flush sediment out of the distribution system.
