Singer and actor David Cassidy has filed for bankruptcy, People reports.

In papers filed Wednesday and obtained by the magazine, the former Partridge Family star says he has assets and debt up to $10 million. He owes $290,000 to Wells Fargo Bank, $21,000 to American Express and $17,000 to Citi Bank. He’s also in $102,000 debt to a Florida-based lawyer.

More stars who’ve gone bankrupt

Cassidy, 64, has battled substance abuse issues in recent years. He was charged with DUI in November 2010, again in August 2013 and, most recently, in January 2014. He checked into rehab shortly thereafter, and his third wife, Sue Shifrin-Cassidy, filed for divorce the following month.

The former teen heartthrob has sold more than 30 million records.

Cassidy most recently appeared on Celebrity Apprentice in 2011.
