Gov. Cuomo discusses former aide’s corruption allegeations

News

Gov. Andrew Cuomo appeared in Buffalo Friday, to discuss the Buffalo Billions project, and to address recent fraud and corruption allegations against nine state employees.

“The U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Manhattan announced nine individuals connected with the Buffalo Billion with charges against them. The U.S. Attorney filed a complaint laying out charges against these nine. It was an emotional day for me. One of the nine people has been a longtime friend of mine and it was very disturbing. It is a complaint, and I was the former Attorney General and you are innocent until proven guilty. But the complaint spelled out a very disturbing and reprehensible story of possible misdeeds by these nine individuals. It was emotional because it was a longtime friend and I was tremendously disappointed,” Cuomo said.
