2 Injured In Accidental Shooting

Two people were hospitalized following an apparent accidental shooting in town of Lorraine.

7 News reports that authorities were called to the Kang Duk Won Karate camp on County Route 93 Saturday evening after state police said 63 year old Daniel Jones of Watertown was firing his gun on a shooting range, not knowing 53 year old David Dummit of Watertown & 40 year old Oliver Boomhower of Waterford were around 100 yards down range in the woods, checking on targets.

Dummitt was struck in the right lower thigh and Boomhower was struck in the lower right calf. The two were taken to and treated at Samaritan Medical Center. Saturday night, both men were listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. State Police said the investigation is continuing.
