2nd Day of State Fair attendance: 86,353

GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – Day 2 of the Great New York State Fair saw 86,353 people pass through the gates.

That number is the largest first-Thursday crowd in the fair’s history. That’s 21,711 higher than last year, and 11,968 above the record for the date, set in 2000.

The fair is currently 27,333 ahead of last year after two days. Tedeschi Trucks Band put an estimated 16,400 onto Chevy Court.
