Allergy concerns prompt Vanilla Almond Breeze recall

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – The HP Hood company is recalling Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk because the ingredient milk maybe contained in the product, but is not listed on the label.

The product is safe to consume, unless you are allergic or sensitive to milk.

According to the FDA, one person has reported an allergic reaction to the product. They did not require medical treatment.

The company is recalling about 145,000 half-gallon cartons that were shipped nationwide to states including New York.

The recall only applies to the following product: refrigerated Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk with a use-by date of September 2, 2018. To identify the affected product, consumers should look for the stamped information printed as:

In addition, the impacted product will have a Universal Product Code (UPC barcode) of 41570 05621 on the side panel of the carton next to the nutrition facts.

You can return the product at the store you bought it from, or visit Blue Diamond’s website and complete a form.
