An alligator confiscated by DEC from two Lewis County men is apparently happy, healthy and is now even a neighbor of April the giraffe.

The gator was found living in an empty ramen noodle box at a Lyons Falls home back in March.

Two men apparently bought it in Florida and brought it back up here.

The alligator was first taken by officials to the New York State Zoo at Thompson Park to be checked over.

And now, downstate at Animal Adventure Park, where April the giraffe gave birth earlier this month, the baby gator has gained weight and even fought off an infection.

It will eventually join the the park’s educational program.
