Syracuse, NY— There’s magic in the air at Specialty Nights during the 2018 Parade of Homes, Oct. 13-28 at Crown Point Summit Meadows (Providence Road, off Route 173) in Jamesville.
Visitors will step into a street of dreams to experience what’s cooking in these beautiful new kitchens to what’s going on behind the scenes with Parade’s designers. Attendees will also hear tales of town history, indulge in nights of pampering and wine tasting and sample local craft brews. Food will be available for purchase daily by Heid’s of Liverpool. Parking is free, on site.
Chef’s Night, Mon. Oct. 15
Nine new homes, nine new kitchens and nine area chefs will fill the Parade homes with magnificent scents and offer a taste of their signature dishes. At Chef’s Night, visitors can talk to home builders and find out what makes their homes unique. They’ll also get a chance to meet the chefs to learn about their fabulous cuisine before sampling each dish. Town of Onondaga History Days! Oct. 20 & 21
The Town of Onondaga Historical Society hosts a night of stories, tales and spirits of the town of Onondaga’s long and fascinating history! Learn the real story of the 13 Curves, find out what happened at the Split Rock Explosion, or hear stories from the county’s old poor house. Novelist Rich Miller will discuss the history of Split Rock, where a munitions factory exploded 100 years ago. Listen to local history come to life at Parade. Visitors might even come across a spirit from Onondaga’s past!
