Bills running back Jonathan Williams opens up about DWI arrest

Local News
Jonathan Williams spoke with News 8’s Thad Brown Monday for the first time since his DWI arrest in mid July.
He didn’t want the “distraction” but praised the Bills for his support over the past couple weeks.
“I’ve learned what I can and can’t do,” Williams said.
Video of the arrest surfaced on TMZ soon after it happened. When asked if that was embarrassing, Williams says he stays off social media and it doesn’t bother him.
His goal is to prove that trouble is not who he is.
“I think time tells everything. I’m already a highly motivated guy. I think time will tell my true character and who I really am,” Williams said. “I’ve never been in any type of trouble before. It’s just something that I’m not going to let derail me off the track that I’m already on. I think I’m already on a good track. I won’t let that mistake derail me.”
Bills GM Doug Whaley said at the start of camp the league has not yet contacted the team about any discipline for Williams.
Williams is due back in court August 15th.
