Botulism risk prompts cheese dip recall

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – As a precaution, Kraft Heinz has issued a voluntary recall on its Taco Bell brand Salsa Con Queso cheese dip. The affected product shows signs that it would allow the growth of the bacteria that causes Botulism. 

Botulism can be potentially deadly. Symptoms include dizziness, double vision, difficulty speaking and muscle weakness.

The recall affects 7,000 cases. There have been no reports of illnesses. 

Consumer who purchased the product should not eat it, even if it does not look nor smell spoiled. It can be returned to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
