The cause of a Carthage fire that destroyed a home remains unknown this morning. Fire crews were called to 230 North James St. at around 3 am Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported, but the home was listed as a total loss. The Red Cross was called in to offer help and support for the displaced residents.
